FLOWERS

Flowers...everyone loves flowers. Although I don't consider myself an expert at it, I really enjoy photographing flowers. They have great design, color, and texture. The images below were taken in either the studio, the Buffalo botanical gardens, out in nature, or in my own garden. My preference is to photograph flowers in a studio (indoor) environment where I can control the background and the lighting. There is no movement from the wind when photographing flowers in a studio environment which makes rendering a sharp image much easier. At times I may choose to lightly spray the blossom with water, although the yellow calla lily and the purple calla lily were photographed in my yard and the dew drop and rain drops were provided by Mother Nature.
