Historical museums provide many opportunities for great photographs. The buildings, both exterior and interior, make interesting subjects, especially if the costumed interpreters are available.
Photographing inside these buildings presents a bit of a challenge since they are usually rather dark inside. A tripod can be a big help when using long exposures however, if there are others in the building a tripod can get in the way of the other visitors. In that case a high ISO and a steady hand would be required to capture your image. The images below were taken with a variety of focal length lenses, ranging from wide angle to telephoto. Although there were no restrictions on using electronic flash, I made all the images with available light.
